Combining the titles of Da Vinci and Duchamp's most famous paintings, Joan C. Gratz uses a technique she called "clay painting" to depict dozens of famous paintings morphing into one another. The film begins with Van Gogh's "Starry Night", and ends with Philip Guston's "Head and Bottle", both of which seem ideally suited to be rendered in such a gloopy malleable medium.
