Lulu Award winning cartoonist Abby Denson kicks off her West Coast tour here in Vancouver this weekend signing copies of her new comic, Dolltopia (preview it here). She’ll be in Portland and San Francisco following this. And in typical Abby-esque style: there will be cupcakes.

I’ve been following San Francisco illustration studio Lab Partners on Flickr for a bit, and they’ve recently been posting images from their upcoming Hunt & Gather show. The set is full of retro designs, fun characters, all sharing the same delicious pink-and-yellow palette.

San Fran illustrator Jesse Parrotti creates work that looks like it’s both from the future and a throwback to 60s psychedelia.
