Computer animation pioneer John Whitney created a demo reel of the work he created for his company Motion Graphics, Inc., which was released as a short film: Catalog. The homemade analog computers and motion-control setups that Whitney used to create these early films were assembled from of the modified targeting systems of WWII-era anti-aircraft guns.
